On November 13, 2015, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Physician Assistant Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas physician assistant license of Carroll Jean Green, P.A., after determining her continuation in practice poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Ms. Green was operating an unregistered pain management clinic and was non-therapeutically prescribing controlled substances in conjunction with Dr. Katherine Blanchette, a former supervising physician of Ms. Green’s and also an owner of the clinic. In an inspection of the pain management clinic, Board staff found Ms. Green in possession of numerous prescription forms that had been pre-signed by Dr. Blanchette.
Ms. Green’s conduct makes her a continuing threat to the public health and welfare.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days’ notice to Ms. Green, unless the hearing is specifically waived by Ms. Green.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
